The mission of Clear Lake Bridge Club is to provide playing opportunities for members and guests as well as promote educational opportunities that encourage new players to enjoy the game of bridge. We offer weekday and weekend games for experts and beginners...come join the fun!
Membership dues are: $25.00/year. CLBC has about 300 Members who are all eager to welcome you to the world of duplicate bridge.
Rodney moved here from Tucson, AZ in Sept 2023 and played his first game at CLBC on Oct 16th. Eva moved here from Budapest, Hungary in 2018 and played her first game at CLBC in Sept 2024. In Nov of '24 they finally met when Rodney was playing with Beverly Gebhart...and Eva was playing with Aureliane Wise.
When they met that day they had a brief chat and realized that Hungary was a big common interest as Rodney had spent 15 years doing Seismograph exploration there; they traded phone numbers when Eva promised to make an authentic Hungarian meal. In Dec they played a game and had dinner...it quickly became a weekly event.
Romance blossomed in February of 2025 and they began going to tournaments and bridge cruises together ~ culminating in a trip that November to the San Miguel de Allende Tournament in Mexico.It was a great time as they were with Clear Lakers Aureliane Wise and Danielle Donnelly with their husbands!
Rodney began dropping lots of hints about tying-the-knot but Eva always said 'no'. On January 18, 2026 Eva surprised Rodney by finally agreeing to be married! They wed on April 25th and we celebrated their nuptials with a Reception at the club on April 29th. We know the honeymoon will last forever💍
